Welcome to Walqalam

A study of the tawatur, or the multiplicity of sources and narrators that verify the authenticity of Hadith al-Thaqalayn, when the Messenger of Allah (s) said: "Verily, I am leaving behind two precious things (thaqalayn) among you: the Book of God and my kindred (`itrah), my household (Ahl al-Bayt), for indeed, the two will never separate until they come back to me by the Pond (of al-Kawthar on the Day of Judgment)."

I am leaving behind over you the Two Weighty Things (al-thaqalayn): the Book of Allah and my offspring, my Ahl al-Bayt. Verily, both shall never separate from each other until they meet me at the Lake-Fount. The Quran and the offspring of the Prophet are referred to as 'the Two Weighty Things' (al-thaqalayn) in the ahadith. Both of them are 'left behind over' us by him, and are further described as being eternally inseparable till the Day of al-Qiyamah. What exactly did the Rasul intend with these statements? When the leader of a nation or community tells his people 'I will die soon. But, I have left behind over you so-and-so', what possibly could he be telling them? It is clear, of course. The designated person -'left behind over' his people - is to take his place and perform his role among them. Hadith al-Thaqalayn, obviously, is in this sense too. The Prophet was declaring the Quran and his offspring as his substitutes over his Ummah after him

In this time, if we want want to be with Quran and household (Ahl al-Bayt) we must know what is Quran and who are household. As in this time we do not have direct meetings with household, so we must go through the teachings of ahlebait which will also help to understand quran.

Imam ali a.s. said Learn your religion , do not inherit it.

We must study Islamic books to get proper understanding of Islam. And only reading of islamic books is not enough we must read books written by authentic writers because due to worldly desires many narrators and writers have played a role in distortion of islamic teachings.
